Short description

CNC-machining centre, which HOLZ-HER introduced on the market in 1995 as successor of the model MEGA-CONTROL. Furthermore, with the model MULTIMASTER, HOLZ-HER began a new model policy which has been remained ever since.

Equipment

The control (of the MEGA-CONTROL) remained the same: Sinumerik control with WoodStep software, which also came from Siemens.

The model MULTIMASTER largely equalled the basic construction of the predecessor MEGA-CONTROL; however, the aggregates support was changed in essential details. It now offered 3 free spaces to be equipped with 2 router heads as well as a groove saw traversable by 90° and a drilling aggregate with 14 vertical drilling spindles and a horizontal drill with 4 outputs each in X and Y.

The table had a size of 3.550 x 1.200 mm. As with the previous model, only a smooth table with double-acting suction cups was available. However, it was optically divided into a grid to allow better positioning of the suction cups for simple workpieces.

Here, as with the MEGA-CONTROL, the machine frame was designed in a way that extra-long workpieces could be clamped by suction cups even outside the actual machine table.

The model MULTIMASTER again had the option of 2 separate machine tables, which could be moved pneumatically.

For the first time, a lock case milling aggregate was offered as well, which could be tilted by 15 degrees for the drilling of holes for hinges.

HOLZ-HER offered the MULTIMASTER in combination with an edgebander with return unit as a complete manufacturing cell, called MASTER-CENTER.
